growing up...

DeDe’s birthday is today – my baby is SEVEN! SEVEN! Where on earth did the time go???? I told her she could pick whatever she wants for supper tonight, and of course, she wants macaroni and cheese. Gotta love her! We made cupcakes for her to take to school today, but the birthday cake and party is going to be this coming Sunday.

Yesterday I bought Matt’s ring. And we checked out a tux place. The cheapest tux was $99 w/shoes, but that did NOT include the shirt, vest, or tie. NO, that was another $40. I’m like, geez, we don’t wanna BUY it, just wear it for a day!!!! There are two other tux places in town, so we’ll be checking those as well. And for Jordan and DeDe, a friend passed along a website, and I can get a flowergirl dress for under $40, and a tux for ~ $60 (for the whole thing, and we get to KEEP it…lol).

106 days and counting...

Yes, I made it back from the south. I've just been incredibly busy at work and home and haven't blogged in way too long!

Good news, I got 'the' dress. Only since it was discontinued by the manufacturer, I bought the one off the rack from Bonnie's. Of course, at the time I first tried it on, it was about two sizes too small. Since then, I've lost about 10 lbs and I need to go shopping for new pants, because even with a belt, they're too big. A good feeling, but I don't really have time for shopping! =) Now the question is, can I skinny down enough to get the dress to fit without adding a panel? I have exactly 106 days left until I become a Griffin, so there's some time, but not too much!

The justice of the peace is booked too. Funny story - he used to be future hubby's mother's boss. So when I called and talked to his secretary and told her his last name, she's like, "I'll bet I know him....I didn't realize that was THIS wedding...." *rolls eyes* It's a small world, huh?

Next it's on to getting invitations printed, picking out tuxes, and figuring out flowers and decorations. Oh yeah, then there's the where/when for the honeymoon too.
