the birthday is done!

Whew! It's been awhile. Last time I posted, my daughter was celebrating a birthday!! Yeah, that's been a month ago tomorrow.

Life has caught up to me and slapped me hard in the face. I won't whine and complain, because I know that a lot of you are just as busy. Well hell, maybe I will complain, it's my blog. LOL But putting in overtime at work, taking an online class, planning a wedding, looking for a house, and attempting to play softball one night a week are KICKING MY ASS! Seriously!

You all know I love to garden, yet my garden plot sits empty yet - the time and motivation hasn't presented itself. I don't know if I'll do anything with it - maybe a tomato plant or two, those are the best fresh.

This week is the worst. My coworker is on vacation the whole week, and next Monday too. And last Friday morning she nonchalantly hands off this project to me. A project that our manager wants to have done by next Friday. A project that said coworker has had on her desk for several months. So she gives it to me so I can do MY portion the DAY before she's leaving for vacation?? And I'm supposed to do it WHEN?? Do I have "Whipping Girl" written on me somewhere? I think NOT!

And the biggest source of irritation was today when I was giving my boss' boss a presentation on what exactly my group does to process and ship orders. I was ASKED by said boss' boss to provide this info. So halfway through, I'm talking and across the table from me all I see is the 'tired eye' blink, and his eyes are closing. I wanted to scream, "HELLO!" But I don't. I quickly finish, and ask if he has any questions. Whaddya know?? He does, because he wasn't paying ATTENTION!!!!!!!!
